About Tour

This 90-minute regular walking tour Split & Diocletian’s Palace is my bestseller tour !

So, it takes you on a fascinating journey through history, where you’ll uncover the hidden secrets of Diocletian’s Palace and immerse yourself in the rich culture and legends of Split. I’ll lead you through the ancient streets, where each corner reveals a new story waiting to be told.

Explore the majestic beauty of the Palace, sip coffee at the Peristyle, and step into the world of Game of Thrones at the Vestibul. Discover the surprises and wonders that await you in this enchanting city.

Citizens of Split used to say, roman emperor Diocletian, has built his Palace in the most beautiful place in the world, in Dalmatia. To clarify, citizens usually exaggerate, but since 1979th is UNESCO World Heritage listed site. However, find a reason to hire a tour guide !

Firstly, since 305 AD , the Cellars have been whispering the secrets of the Palace.

Secondly, on the stairs of an ancient square Peristyle, for instance, visitors of the Palace enjoy drinking coffee.

Thirdly, „Foyer“ of the emperor’s apartment, known as Vestibul, used as battle field in one scene in Game of Thrones show. I was an extra and I’ll show you the filming locations.

By twist of fate or, thanks to the most ferocious persecutor of Christians, however, the city of Split has the oldest catholic cathedral in the world.

In addition, previously Diocletian’s Mausoleum, today is cathedral. On the other hand, previously Temple of Jupiter is baptistery now.

Further, four Gates have sounding names: Brass gate, Iron gate, Silver gate and Golden gate with the statue of bishop Gregory of Nin.

To sum up, I’ll tell you the outstanding, historical stories, roles, importance, lifestyle, and fun facts of this place.
